A well known promoter of the Arbroath Smokie, he has been featured on numerous TV programmes such as 'The Woman Who Ate Scotland', 'Castle in the Country', 'This Little Farmer Went To Market', 'Rick Stein's Food Heroes, and 'UKTV Food Local Food Heroes'.
Undoubtedly his biggest achievements so far have been the awards he has won for his Arbroath Smokies. Through nominations from his customers, Iain found himself in the finals of two very high profile awards. He was crowned Scottish Champion in the UKTV Food 'Local Food Heroes' Award 2006, before going on to the UK Grand Final where he achieved a position of 3rd in Britain. Shortly after this, he won the highly prestigious BBC Radio 'Food Producer of the Year' Award 2006.
